Wendy has been freelance writing since 1990. She combines her love of travel, history and making dolls house miniatures to contribute articles on those topics to newspapers, magazines and Suite 101. She has been a newspaper and magazine columnist for weekly and monthly publications in New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

Her work has appeared in the New Zealand Herald, Christchurch Press, Otago Daily Times, Suburban Newspapers, Australian Women's Weekly, Holiday, Travel Trade and The Dolls' House Magazine, among others.

Wendy has had two books on quotations about travel published by Reed Publishing. They are: 'Wish You Were Here' and 'What Do You Think of New Zealand? '

In addition to non-fiction writing, Wendy is an award-winning short story writer. Several of her stories have been published in UK and New Zealand anthologies and newspapers, and broadcast on National Radio.

Wendy has a Diploma in Travel Writing (with distinction) and an Advanced Diploma in Applied Writing.

Past occupations have included teaching, community work, tutoring adults, and owning a small business selling dolls house miniatures. She has a blog about dolls houses and miniatures.

Wendy now lives in a small country town in New Zealand with her husband. They enjoy going on cruises around the Pacific. Follow her blog about cruising around the Pacific Islands, Australia and New Zealand.
